Dan Clark, President & CEO

Dan is a seasoned executive with over 40 years in the medical device and healthcare industry. His experience includes general management, sales and marketing, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, finance, technology licensing and international management. Formally, Mr. Clark was the co-founder, Chairman and CEO of MagneVu, a medical device company that developed and marketed the world's first portable magnetic Resonance Imaging System (MRI) designed to be planced in the physician's office on a "fee for use" basis. During his nine year tenure at MagneVu, he successfully raised over $10,000,000 in private investment capital and guided the company through its early start up period, the FDA clearance process and the first capital round.

Prior to founding MagneVu, Mr. Clark held several CEO and senior management positions within the medical device industry, most notably, an 11 year career as a vice president and senior executive with Johnson & Johnson's Technicare division. Technicare was a wholly owned Johnson & Johnson company that manufactured and marketed a full line of diagnostic imaging devices including ultrasound, digital x-ray, nuclear medicine, computed axial tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging systems (MRI). While at Johson and Johnson, Mr. Clark spent two years in Tokyo, Japan where he was Director of Marketing for the business in the Pacific Rim, followed by two years in Sydney, Australia were he served as Managing Director & CEO. Mr. Clark finished his career with Technicare serving as Director of International Operations, Director of National Accounts, and Vice President of Customer Relations.

Mr. Clark holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts degree in Communications from Eastern New Mexico University.

Dr. Terry M. Chriss, Chief Technology Officer, Director

Dr. Chriss is the founder of Rose Medical Systems, and serves as the Chief Technology Officer. Dr.Chriss, is also also acting as the President of Custom Lab Software System, Inc., which he founded in 1990. Custom Lab Software Systems specializes in development of custom, computer-based test and measurement systems used for engineering research and testing in the wide variety of industries. Clients include fortune 500 companies such as IBM, General Electric, Pfizer, Pratt & Whitney, Texas Instruments, Praxair, Inc, and Exxon-Mobil Chemical Company, as well as a wide selection of smaller companies. Prior to founding Custom Lab Software Systems, Dr. Chriss worked for Keithley Instruments, Inc., a major manufacturer of precision test instrumentation, as well as in a variety of university research postions.

Don Miller, Chief Financial Officer​, Director

Mr. Miller was a founder and Senior Vice, President of SeQual Technologies, a medical device company based in San Diego. He was the company’s first Chief Financial Officer, held the position of Interim President during a restructuring period and served for several years on the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to SeQual, Mr. Miller was an early stage investor, Board member, and Chief Financial Officer for the following start-up companies in San Diego: La Jolla Technology, Biosym Inc., Interactive Simulations, and Azron. Don is a former Naval Officer and has a B.S. degree from the University of Kansas, and a Master’s Degree in Finance from San Diego State.

Alexander Nawrocki, Director

Focusing on technology and the international development infrastructure (fluent in 7 languages), Dr. Nawrocki brings more than 20 years of technology leadership, management and industry experience in many areas. He has broad based CEO and Board level experience. Dr. Nawrocki is a founding member of the Java-Consortium, is active in several other technology standards boards, and chairs various technical and advisory committees.

Dr. Nawrocki was an early investor in Proximetry which provides network and performance management solutions for wireless networks to enable network operators to visualize, provision, and actively manage their wireless networks from one centralized location and Neubloc, a US-based (San Diego, California), outsource, software development, design, and testing firm that combines a unique blend of onshore and offshore resources to a client base worldwide. He is co-owner of Ameritege Technology Partners which was founded in 1999 as a private equity firm specializing in software business acquisitions. Formed by two successful software industry executives that have run both private and public software companies, Ameritege is a privately held firm that has successfully acquired or made substantial investments in twelve businesses including JB Systems, Inc., Assist Cornerstone Technologies, Inc., UTS Global®, CWTI, the SoftWindows® product line from Insignia Solutions, Inc., and others.

He also served as a Professor at École de technologie supèrieure (ÉTS) teaching “Object-Oriented Software Engineering” (Graduate Level) and a Professor at École Polytechnique de Montrèal Educational Institution teaching “Operations of Human Space Flights” (Graduate Level) and “Space Tele-robotics” (Graduate Level).

Prior to his time as a Professor Dr. Nawrocki worked for NASA and the Canadian Space Agency in Montreal, Canada serving as Ground Segment Manager, Astronaut Training Manager, Space Operations Manager. He was also assigned to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas as Robotics Manager, Designer of the Space Operations for Robotics Operations and Utilizations – Shuttle and International Space Station, and Shuttle Flight Controller.

Dr. Nawrocki holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Electronic Engineering, Master’s degree in Computer Science (“Summa Cum Laude”) and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering.

Rees Orland, Director

Rees provides owners, founders, managers and CEO's with collaborative support, strategy, planning and implementation services across industries.

Rees has extensive experience in diverse U.S. and international private, start-up and public companies specializing in medical aesthetics, medical devices, prescription, OTC drugs and consumer products. He is a pioneer in the field of medical aesthetics. As Corporate Senior Vice President of Collagen Corporation (President of Collagen Biomedical and Collagen International divisions, now AbbVie/Allergan) Rees created and introduced the first branded medical aesthetics service for injectable collagen. He also held executive positions with Artes Medical (Suneva Medical), Atrix Laboratories (Tolmar, Inc.), Unimed Pharmaceuticals (AbbVie), G.D. Searle (Pfizer) and Miles Laboratories (Bayer).
